Show Your Support for Partners In Health

If there’s one thing that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us it is to be resourceful and find new ways to engage with our friends, family, and in our roles, donors. As we look to reimagining this year’s conference, Big World, Big Ideas, into a more immersive and expansive virtual experience, we also reevaluated how we can expand our generosity to our global community.

This year, we have collaborated with Partners In Health, a global health and social justice organization dedicated to providing lifesaving care and increasing access to food, transportation, housing, and, most importantly health care. Their mission is to alleviate barriers to universal health care and provide the highest quality medical care and treatments to the world’s most impoverished communities.

Last year, Partners in Health was able to provide 2.8 million outpatient visits in supported clinics, two million health checkups for women around the world, and over 2.1 million community health worker home visits. These accomplishments would not be possible without the generosity and advocacy of their supporters.

Now we need your help to continue their mission! Although many of us are still working in the comforts of our home right now, that doesn’t mean we can’t get out there (even digitally) and help make a difference to the millions of patients that receive aid and assistance through Partners In Health.

Here’s how YOU can participate:

  • There is no better way to express our gratitude for the time and sacrifices frontline health care workers make each and every day by drafting a note of thanks. As stewardship officers, expressing thanks is literally our job, so bring out that stationery and penmanship skills, and during this year’s conference we’ve allotted break times to help us reach our goal of 200 messages. Thank you notes can be mailed to the following address by September 30.

  • If you’re a bookworm, now’s the time to offload some of those gently used books you’ve already devoured by donating them to the Book Drive. Logistics are still being fleshed out, but this is the perfect opportunity to do some decluttering.

We hope that as excitement builds around the Big World, Big Ideas conference, you’ll be just as excited to give back to our global community.
