About the Session


When Louisiana State University Foundation’s strategic goals moved toward a new emphasis on cash gifts and student support, donor relations and prospect management joined forces to help frontline fundraisers effectively engage donors toward those goals. In a series of meetings throughout the year, donor relations, prospect management, and major gift officers came together to form a new model that helped strategically align unit-based and organizational priorities to meet and surpass our goals. Join us in this session as we discuss the strategic partnership built between donor relations and prospect development over the last year.

About the Speakers

Lori Pilley
Director of Donor Engagement
Louisiana State University Foundation

For eight years, Lori has led a team supporting leadership engagement, individual stewardship plans, unrestricted fund reporting, bespoke donor projects and engagement across all donor tiers. In a prior role, d donor relations in the first integrated fundraising model of its kind at LSU consisting of the Colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences, Music and Dramatic Arts, and the LSU Press. Before coming to LSU, she worked in communications and grant writing for local area nonprofits. Lori is a graduate of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business and enjoys good coffee and spending time with her family.

Ashley Mick
Prospect Development Analyst
Louisiana State University Foundation

Ashley Mick is a Prospect Development Analyst for the LSU Foundation. In this role, she provides strategic and data-driven support to frontline fundraisers via strategy support, productivity analytics, and pipeline management. In her three years at the LSU Foundation, Ashley has also served as an Assistant Director of Development Services, providing focused support to a small team of fundraisers. Ashley grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Human Sciences and Education, respectively. She enjoys getting outside and spending time with her family.
